Brazil offers a specific visa and residence permit for artists and athletes who come to the country to carry out artistic or sporting activities through fixed-term contracts, without establishing an employment relationship with a Brazilian individual or legal entity.

Overview

Brazil offers a specific visa and residence permit for artists and athletes who come to the country to carry out artistic or sporting activities through fixed-term contracts, without establishing an employment relationship with a Brazilian individual or legal entity. People who intend to participate in exhibitions, shows, presentations, sporting competitions or similar events must obtain a temporary visa for these purposes, if they are outside Brazil, or a residence permit, if they are already in the country. This authorization also extends to coaches and auxiliary professionals who support artists or athletes. The request requires documents such as a detailed contract and others that prove the terms, remuneration and responsibilities of the parties involved. This rule does not apply to those who enter Brazil through an individual employment contract, which constitutes a different category.
